Sources of Inspiration: YouTube Channels

I listen to a lot of podcasts on YouTube that are sources of inspiration or just enjoyable to listen to.

One of my favorites is Horror Babble. Narrator Ian Gordon and a few others read short stories under the genre of weird fiction (i.e. Lovecraft, Robert Block, Algernon Blackwood, Ambrose Bierce, and many others). The production quality is outstanding and there are hundreds of stories to listen to.

Another great YouTube channel is Bedtime Stories.  Again great production quality where the narration is paired with original art. They cover the most chilling cases from around the world. From the paranormal to the supernatural, unsolved mysteries and strange deaths to cryptids, conspiracy theories, and the most disturbing of true crimes. I particularly enjoyed their most recent episode on the Beast of Gevaudan.

I stumbled upon Dark Histories when looking for a more detailed podcast on the Beast of Gevaudan. I've only listened to a few so far, but thoroughly enjoyed them. The narrator is very credible and does a good job of thoroughly researching a topic before creating an episode.

Last but not least, there is Chilling Tales for Dark Nights. This channel offers a variety of very talented voice actors, reading various horror tales with SFX. I've listened to so many of these, I've lost count.
